I’m trying to plan my trip to hawaii for next year around mid-april or late may. how much does it typically cost for 2 to go for a week including spending, dining, airplane ticket, and hotel? if you went recently how much did you spend?

Which part of Hawaii?
Do you have a budget?
What kind of hotel do you prefer?

p.s.. Oct to Apr is whale watching season. May is green mango season.

I was just there in May… And will be going again later this november and december… Depends on the island you go to, but either way, you have to stop at honolulu first. For two including ticket and a hotel can cost form 800 each to 2000 each… I suggest that one preson buys a hotel and ticket and the other just buy a ticket, this way, it will only cost approx 1600 for the two of you combined… When you get there, tell the person who just got the ticket to wait by the elevator while you check in… Stay in only in the Outrigger Hotels, they are the best hotels if you are staying in Waikiki and are right on the beach. While there, do not take taxis, it is very expensive and hawaii traffic is worse than cali traffic. Take the bus, it cost 2 dollars and you go anywhere. However, if you want to go to the north shore or aything, rent a car from your hotel and not from random car rental shops, because it is cheaper and they got your back in case anyhting happens, that is, unless you want to rent a ferarri or viper.

As for spending and dining… Oahu, is home to the best shoppes, from Prada to Gucci to Louis Vuitton on every street corner… Waikiki is known as the land of the ABC… For a week, it will probably cost you 2000 for spending and food, unless you like the finer stuff in life… Hang out at Duke’s, it is the best hang out in Waikiki and go to pipeline club… Kauai is a very pretty island and big island (Hawaii) is the best for sight seeing and the military base. You can;t get to Ni’ihau unless you are 100 percent born hawaiian or are invited to the island. Haggle and bargin at the int’l market place and bazzar. Sam Choy has the best seafood and Keoni’s has the best lemonade…

i spent nearly $900 bucks for five days in wakiki.
ticket= $400
hotel= $150 ( 5 girls in one suite)
site seeing and tours= $100 (paradise cove, the cultural center…)
other expenses= $200+ ( shopping, food, mo-ped..etc)

this is a lot, i suggest you guys go during non-peak travel time.. tickets are way cheaper.
