Hi all, last year I founded the Cambodian American Soccer Association to help unite Cambodian soccer players here and abroad. Since then we have networked with others and I have recently connected with the Cambodian National Olympic Committee. They are looking for Cambodian American athletes and abroad to help represent Cambodia. I am reaching out to help them look for athletes. So if you think you or anybody you know are good enough in a sport, please contact me. They are even willing to make a push to get people into London Olympics in such a short time. Not sure if this is right. But for soccer, do a country have to qualify for regionals before they can be in the olympics? For example, Cambodia have to play in the Asian qualifier in order to see if they make it to the olympics. I think it’s great that we have a handful of Cambodian players representing the MLS. I am for one a huge football fan.

I believe you are right LikeRain. You would have to qualify. There are olympic qualifiers. But I’m told they can try to work some players in. I assume for smaller/individual sports that they might not have as many diverse representatives in that sport. I will clarify further on that area as I talk to them.
Handful of players in MLS? Do you know more other than Davy Armstrong?
