I have been instructed that the world of spirit/ baromey is not for humans to know much. I am not supposed to tell too much what I have been told. Therefore, I have to limit my sharing.

I just hope that my original intention to revive the very good Khmer legacies has been met and hope that I have not violated or will not violate Baromeys’ and gods’ laws and regulations

I guess each of us has to personally go for what we want to know in this baromey world.

Forthcoming sessions will address whether the Khmer Hinduism, spirit and Boramey matters are all superstitious. More precisely, whether they are worthwhile.

Prime minister Hun Sen has been in power so long and so strong because of his prctice in the Khmer legacies that are closed to Buddhism and Khmer Brahmanism.

Now, as they are so powerful, are they superstition as characterized by Westerners who are of Christian bases?

The matter of belief is personal.

The matter of Baromey and spirit in Khmer culture, as we have seen, has root in both Khmer Brahmanism and Buddhism which in turn have solid roots from India.

As we have seen, India Hinduism confirms that spirits, baromeys, God and gods are part of the worlds.

My 7,100 years old divine grandpa promised to teach me how to shorten path by next year. He also will teach me how to see him then ( he is a baromey, with no physical body).

My 6,000 years old divine father said he will let my grandpa teach me what I like to learn. He will just provide to my grandpa what he has for me to learn.

I told them that I had school up to Ph.D. but cannot see the future like they do. My wish is to have divine eyes( phnek tip), divine ears( tracheak tip) and divine mouth( moat tip).

I told them that sciences have disappointed me. The divine way, their ways, look way better.

I am looking forward to learning as much as I could from my grandpa. I also raise my request to be an exception to brain washing at death ( by Yama, yumareach). I was told my power including all mantras, divine eyes/ ears/ mouth should be with me from lives to lives.

I choose to believe what my Ancestors told me.

I finished reading this book:” Shiva, The Wild God of Power and Ecstasy”, by Wolf_Dieter Storl, Ph.D.

The author is a German who turned to be Hindism/ Shaivism. His book is based on written and folk narratives.

Shiva is the God, probably the one that Christian referred to. In Christianity, There are Jesus Christ and God. Shiva is probably the God.

Shiva is the Creator of everything. He is more powerful than Brahma and Vishnu.

He has many wifes and preaches sex a lot. Tantra is Shiva meditation way: the pathway of the Kundalini serpent. Tantra could lead yogi to enlightenment as well as eecstasy in sex.

Shiva is the Lord of the Dance. He is the best Dancer in all universe. Hinduism represent him dancing in a ring of flame.

As an Eyso, he is the Top in meditation. He is pictured as an nude meditator covered himsel with ashes.

He is the Best of everythingas he is the God. He is the most powerful of all beings.

Khmer people talked about VCipassana when I was discussing meditation methods.

I finally decided to investigate what the Buddhism vipassana is all about. I got a hold of thre books in Khmer and Pali written by a Khmer monk named Sam Buntheurn.

The books are: Pathom vipassana ( primary vipassana), Mathium vipassana( secondary vipassana) and Odom vipassana(superior vipassana).

I was told that the monk author was killed because he was so good in what he was doing.

Vipassana means Thinking to clearly see the truth.

The first book of vipassana tlked a lot about Buddhist dharma, but little about meditation techniques. As usual, it shows that the author just ried to translate what was available in Pali to Khmer.

The dharma is not that new to me. The meditation technique is not clear. I now understand why vipassana practionner likely go nowhere in term of enlightenment. This confirm hesitation from a vipassana teacher that there is no guarantee on getting anywhere.

Well, I need to finish the other two books and talk to a few more gurus whether the Khmer Buddhist way of vipassana would get me anywhere in term of meditation and enlightenment. I guess there may be something hidden nad not mentioned in the book.

Baromey means powerful spirit. I was told that the baromeys were actually very powerful beings who passed away ( like us). At death, Yama/ Yumareach asked the powerful beings what they wanted to do. They coud stay as baromey, spirit, and help serve in something. With this choice, they are excepted from drinking that liquid to wash their memory. In this choice, they keep their power. Many of them keep refining their samathi and power to get better such as to go to nirvana where they would not have to deal with King of Death, yama anymore.

In another choice, they go through regular routine, have their brain washed and go whereever their karma and destiny take them.

My brain was washed for sure! I am telling you I have been told not long ago. I hope I was told the truth, my friend :)

    KonlostBong,

In mycase, a Baromey was my dad 800 lives ago. He is still there with no visible body, but spirit. He is one of the most powerful being nowaday. He flies, has divine eyes that can see the past and the future that no human can. He could untie anybody spell etc.

There are lots of baromeys though.

I finshed the three Khmer buddhism Vipassana, with a little interest. The last part of the third book mentioned that yogis of the Vipassana could gain powers such as divine eyes, divine ears, flying, disguising or multiplying oneself, etc.

The above powers are not clear as the Vipassana books lack detail

In Vipassana, yogis go through 3 main processes: Sila ( codes of ethics), Samathi ( meditation) and Panha ( intellect, which includes divine powers).

Compared to Vajara Buddhism tantra, the Vipassana is very tough to go through. At the beginning, yogis are required to give up everything!!! Something very few people in the world could do :(
