    here’s the run down for those guys who wants PoChimm:

    Bride= $100,000
    Ring (her’s)= $50,000 (at least 5 carets and don’t forget about the 5Cs)
    (His’s)=$5,000 (something worthy)
    House=$1,000,000 (at least)
    Car/s=$60,000 (cheapest one)
    Wedding reception=$50,000 (starting)
    Honeymoon=$50,000 only (round trip, of course)

    Equals:

    Many, Many life times of pleasure for the lucky guy.

    Else
    you could marry me,Po, under the king’s chapel, in Las Vegas and live happily ever after.

    jk. hehehehehe :)
    She’s really sweet with great ambitions. Any guy would be lucky to know her.

    Since you’re only having 200 guests then it shouldn’t be that much. Still expensive though. I’m thinking $30,000 to $40,000, not including the bridal price but you know, it all comes back to help pay for the wedding anyway.

    But you know, it would be cheaper if you just book 2 tickets to Vegas. I’m planning on doing that but my sister said that my parents are going to give me the traditional wedding anyway. You don’t want to know how much my wedding is going to be…

    hey SN,

    why $30-40K?
    that’s a lot!!!

    you know the average cost in the U.S. only $20K?
    depends on the food but western dish costs about $50/dish.
    Khmer wedding costs about $200/person.
    i don’t know why we have so many foods anyway.
    no one can eat all of that.

    anyhow, at $200/person times 200 guests = $4000
    photographer = $1500
    videographer = $1500
    cake = $200
    flower = $300 or so for the whole decoration
    hennessy = $50/bottle times 25 tables = $1250
    traditional Khmer band = $1600
    live modern band = $1600
    breakfast/lunch @ home = $1000
    honeymoon for one week to Paris = $4000
    —————————————-
    total = $16,950
    additional $5,000 for engagement ring (VVS, 3/4c, E)
    additional $150 for wedding band
    limo $300
    ————————————
    sub-total = $22,400

    u know wedding is for the ladies. :)
    i wanted to go to Vegas and do the drive-thru.
    buttttttttt…we’ll have to close the whole damn town and invite the whole town!! :(
    this is Indonesian tradition. :P

    buy Webster dictionary next year, and look up the word “broke”. you will see my picture in there. :P
