Only an idiot would post up a rumour as such about trading Vince from Toronto. Grunwald has stated in the past (march 2002-Vince goes under the knife) and again today, that he’s not trading him barring a career-ending injury. Vince Carter is the franchise in Toronto and has too many investments within the Raptor organization to be let go. These clauses were worked into his six-year extension he signed in the summer of 2001 and they will be enforced unless hell freezes over. Rumours will be rumours but this one is out to lunch and makes no sense.

One, no one’s going to trade for an injured player. Secondly, EVERYONE is tradable for the right price. You don’t think the Raptors would take Finley and Nash for Vince? (They would accept the deal in less than a second).
The one thing I’ve learned about sports as a fan: you don’t cheer for the players; you cheer for the jerseys. I don’t really care who’s on the Raptors; I want to see the team to win championships. I liked Damon’s game, but I didn’t really care when he left. As much as I love Vinsanity’s game, he doesn’t do much for the team wearing a suit. They need him back.
By the way, never once did I say in my initial post that I believe the Raptors would consider trading Vince to Cleveland (I’m not a Miles fan and Iggs-whatever sucks ass). Some people should learn how to analyze writing, instead of making idiotic assumptions.
