was this the ‘acid attack’ case?

no, i think that was the shooting.
Was this the result of Viet influenced jelously? I think so. When you are friends of a Viet, he influences you to turn on your own kind, youre his puppet. He uses you to get what he wants. I warn you, keep your eyes open and be wary of your “friends.” You just might end up thinking as he does, inheriting his mindset. Theyre masters at brainwashing. Just look around.
The shooting is correct.

CAMBODIA: Revelations about a State murder
The very popular dancer and actress Piseth Pilika, was she assassinated by
the regime’s highest officials? This exclusive testimony and these never –
before – published documents obtained by L’Express confirm it — by Alain
Louyot.
HER BODY RIDDLED WITH BULLETS and losing blood on the fateful morning of
July 6, 1999, the star so loved and admired by Cambodians, wanted to bring
justice to the 2 million anonymous victims of the monstrosity that was the
Khmer Rouge. As they drove at breakneck speed toward Phnom Penh’s Calmette
Hospital, Piseth Pilika whispered the name of the mastermind of the attack
to her 7-year-old niece, who was also wounded, and to her sister and
cousin. It was a name already well known during the Pol Pot regime, and one
which she had cited several times in the final pages of her personal diary.
She asked those close to her to divulge it, in the event that she would
die, just as she had been warned.
Pilika succumbed to her wounds on July 13. And it is now up to L’Express,
to which the evidence of this tragedy has been passed — a sign of the
witnesses’ lack of faith in their police — to grant the last wish of this
dancer and film star who was stuck down by several revolver shots fired by
a hit man working in the name of phoney national interests. For the murder
of Pilika, cut down in the full glory of her 34 years, was one too many for
the much afflicted Cambodian people. And its all-powerful masterminds —
former Khmer Rouge — will perhaps learn one day, to their detriment, that
it is not enough to be highly placed to usurp the right to blot out a star.
Her funeral in mid-July was, it is said, the most moving national fervour
Phnom Penh has known in 20 years. Carried by the mass of her admirers, to
the lulling sound of drums and the traditional Khmer flute, her corpse was
burned on the campus of the University of Fine Arts where the beloved star
taught classical dance. “Pilika was a great actress who embodied Cambodian
culture

I “heard” Piseth Pelika was secretly in a love relationship with Hun Sen after she was sepererated or divorced from Kie Vaseth. Hun Sen’s wife found out. So, she hired someone to kill Piseth Pelika.
Was this true?
yes,
Can’t you read an article in english or are you just scared to write
the word Hun Sen ?
?
L’expresse say yeah,a lot of people share this thinking and that include me.<— that man with a pic on profile , i live somwhere in europ IoI <– don't kill me, god bless you ![]()
Even hun sen did nothing against L'expresse do you know why ?
because he know if he go in french justice he will make a lot of wav
in the french people and sure lost the deal. that's why he had not led L'express to tribunal court.

This is the first time I read about this incident, and it saddens me extremely. All these accusations flying everywhere after a beautiful star is killed. If L’Expression is true, then the P.M.’s wife is a murderer. If Ms. Bun Rany’s response is true, then her reputation has been defamed, and her named disgraced.
Why have there not been true investigations for real evidence? It seems like there is a strong case against the P.M.’s wife, so why is everything being done as a war of newspapers? Ms. Bun Rany seems like a prime suspect, so perhaps that should be the starting point for an investigation or trial. I don’t know if I am making sense, I am still so shocked by having read all this.
My mom always told me never to make political comments as this, but I can’t resist. Hopefully the ones with guns aren’t reading.

Its kinda hard to prosecute the accused when her husband owns the courts, judges, police, and the entire country.

I’m a wonam myself but I still don’t understand why some wives like to go after the mistress instead of their own husbands. He’s the one who is doing the cheating. There are so many beautiful women out there, do these wives plan to go after everyone of them? And, don’t they consider that sometimes due to his high position, some of these girls are involved out of fear of might happen to them and their families?
What I meant was, what the hell was she doing with a married man!
An evil man no less… Plus, he is a bit of an ugly b@stard as well.
I guess, she knew full well what the price to be paid if things went wrong. Maybe, she was power hungry or simply greedy… I might even suggest that she was arrogant thinking that her beauty would get her out of trouble. She stood to gain everything she wanted in life, whatever her motive might have been.
So she dies, why give a shiit about her… I don’t!

i don’t understand? what do you mean ?
Hun Sen is ugly and Nobody can reject this reality, Like other CPP members as well.
The interesting point is not to know Why Hun Sen & Pilika but how our government can kill a celebrity such Pilika without any problem.
that only mean the truth about Cambodia government
the Hun Sen familly are the master of Cambodia and they can make what they want and there is no democraty. There is no justice , nothing !
Laws are just a word to make us blind
i don’t trust in the democraty made by the CPP because there is no democraty no laws just the power of gun.
sometimes i regret the CFF ,maybe Chun Yasith has taken the good position to help cambodia.

Cambodia is a society endemic with ignorance and stupidity.
This may well be the result of the Khmer Rouge regime.
Even this didn’t teach the khmer ppl a thing… Which lead me to believe that ignorance and stupidity are genetically passed down through each generation. I’m sad to say that I am also affected by this disease but to a lesser extend than most ppl, IMHO.
For example, if there was an enemy most khmer ppl would side with the enemy to save their skin rather than unite to fight the enemy off.
Some nations teach their children to run or to fight while khmer nation teaches its children bow and crawl.
I’m not critical of the fact, I’m just highlighting it.

I read that there was a khmer saying, something like “If a woman is a beauty it is bad luck because if she refuses a powerful man’s advances he might hurt her and if she accepts his advances his wife will SURELY hurt her”. Lots of acid attacks, while most of us over here think it makes more sense to go after the man who is wronging you, over there he is the source of one’s standard of living. It is intersting because acid attacks, (I know, Piseth was shot) in other countries ARE done by spurned males to females. Only in Cambodia have I read about the prevalence of cheated on wives committing the attacks on their rivals.
Avalanche,
A lot of the stuff you had written made a lof sense to me… maybe to others as well.
I know you mean well… Sometimes I can almost feel[just by reading] your anguish about the state of srok khmer. I can also feel the tremendous sense of pride you have for srok khmer.
Your words and work are NOT lost on me. Even though I’m much older than you, I can at least feel safe in the knowledge that younger ppl are actively involve in the wellbeing of srok khmer.
I am sometimes are hard on the khmer ppl simply because most of them are stereotypical of the old khmer with mentallity that got us all into the deep shitts in the first place. What amazes me most each time I when to srok khmer is the fact the lessons were never learnt.
If I can alter my thinking then everyone in srok khmer should be able to alter their thinking as well. I know it harder to do that when all you are taught is to conform to the norm. Your parents teach you to conform, your government teaches you to conform. Everyone is following everyone like sheep.

Beyond a reasonable doubt, as in criminal court? Don’t know. Proponderance of the evidence as in civil court? Undoubtedly.
it’s idle speculation… nothing that would stand up in the court of law!

I’m not going to go back and read everything over again, but I remember there was a whole lot of evidence. Not very many crimes have witnesses. But there were people involved, the policeman that warned her that Bun Rany was going to kill her and that she should take it on the lam, there were papers and diaries, Hun Sen threatened to but did not sue the French magazine, it went on and on.
