beauty is in the eyes of the beerholder…some of the crappy paintings cost millions too, maybe bcoz they r the best crappy paintings around?…

Your right everything you do is art, but is it the best ? Are your drawings,craft..etc.. the best in the world?
These people are the best in what they do that is why their paintings are prized so much. That picture that sold that $42 million dollars is from a painter who can even draw/paint better than someone who Photoshopped images for decades.

The main difference is these artist are best at what they do, this painting is just one of his many paintings.

yeah I know about that….feather VS pen…
and I know they’re beautiful when they are.
and I do like the painting.

but someone paid almost 50 million dollar for that painting?
that’s what i don’t understand.
maybe the person who bought it was a representative from a famous museum.

Its not that you dont understand it, its because your not looking at the art work in its purest form (not digitial).
The difference is like having old english written with feather pen vs old english written in pen.

There was an accident on the corner of my street where a garbage truck hit an elderly women and she died. I was out shopping with my mom and brother when I heard about it from my husband and as I was coming home, I saw the body wrapped up in plastic and pilons surrounding it. It was very sad to see. The police had blocked off the whole side of the street where the body was and had to split the other side in half.
Hopefully during the 11:00 pm news will give me more information on who she is. At the time and hours lady, police still did not know who the lady was. It’s so sad… :(

You guys should go visit an art museum and stop talking bs on art. Not to be arrogant, but from a person who holds an Art Degree i feel a little offensive on that comment. Then again everyone is entitle to their own oppinion so please go on :D

u have to accept it that not everyone can see the beauty of arts. i took art class in college and no matter how i try to see the beauty of it, it just doesn’t make sense to me. especially something so abstract and something so simple even a kid can do.

“Australian newspaper- a Melbourne man was stopped by Australian authorities from selling Khmer stolen artifacts on Ebay. The two Angkorian-period statues on sale on Sotheby’s might be stolen as well. The two artifacts on sale by Sotheby’s are of high price. One is a statue from Koh Ker period and is on sale for 2,000,000-3,000,000 USD”

heheh I get what you’re saying…

I took an art class for general ed.
the professor put up slide shows and he talked about each piece.
I had no idea what he was BSing about…i just didn’t get it.
It was harder to pass than chemistry class (that was the other requirement too eheh).
I dropped it. I took music and drawing/painting classes instead.

when i comes to art history, I sux at it.
However, hands on art classes…it was effortless.

I’ll be grilling chicken tomorrow morning for my work’s potluck. Just finish marinating 45 chicken wings. It was alot of work trying to mix up all that sauce…keke.
Luckily, mom’s making the spring rolls for me. All I have to do is help her wrap them. Leaving to go there now.
