i’ll be enrolling in school this fall and the spring. probably, study until i get my BA cuz my associate will not get me anywhere. and here is the scoop, i want a new car. My saving is enough for a down payment. like $450 a month will cover it.

any of you still a student and own a luxury car? for example, working full time and manage to get a nice stuff and staying in school.

hmmm..that’s pretty hard. will $450 cover insurance as well? to me, that’s pretty high to pay on a car while you’re still going to school but that’s just me. why not put more money down to lower your monthly payment?

am also thinking of going back to school this fall for some computer classes. i want to be able to build a computer from the ground up.

i litterally walk/bus to work and school. for 8 yrs, i left home at 600am for work/school & return at home 1100pm. student life aint no job. at the end it pay off with great dividents. hang in there sis. dont drop out. and definitely dont wait until u have family of ur own to start school. life much easier when u accomplish ur personal goal (schooling) before you become the head of ur household.

I am currently finishing up my MBA, student life is hard! I work about 10 hours a day and attend school twice a week with heavy workloads from both. I drive a nice car but I do make a lot also. I think you should not worry about the nice things when you are at school, just focused on getting to class and graduating. If you have a car already it should be sufficient.

I use to walk 40 mins+ to school. People laugh at me but those were some of the healthiest days of my life and I was care free. The people who had nice cars were the ones who were always working.

Everybody have the lifestyle they choose. Personally, I don’t want to work all the time to pay a lot for something that sits in the parking lot all day. I rather have more time to sleep and enjoy myself.

hehe. If you have a rice and generous parents who are willing to help out, no problem right but that is not the case for most of us. I say forgo the luxury car and wait until to get ur degree and start making good money. New car insurance is expensive. Have u try looking at financial aid or scholarship?

Yeah, forget the luxury car. Opt for a skateboard instead.

go green get a bike. but i have to agree with everybody else $450 to me is a little steep but of course i have empty pockets. i hope and pray everyday my accord doesn’t take a massive dump on me as i’m still in school. If you have the money and can afford it and want luxury I say go for it, do as your heart pleases.

Get your BA and drive a beater. Buying a new/luxury car is probably the worst investment you can make unless you’re buying some classic or antique.

Wow! I posted this last year. Can’t believe I went on that route. Bad investment I just did. But it’s okay! We all have to learn how to live, experience the good life and move on, hehe.

No man, don’t do it. I bought a brand new car in college, and I wish I hadn’t because working 20 hours + a week and studying at the same time is hard.

Be happy with a shit car for now and be balling when you have a lot of dough.
