Why don’t they hire someone who’s good at it? I got use to Mayura’s voicing. But anything other than that, i just can’t watch it. Its so annoying! lolz :P Yesterday i just purchased Koun Prosa Jerng La’or (Ntry).. watched it for 5 min and i stopped. I couldn’t stand it! The girl’s voice gets me all annoyed. :( what a waste of 14 bucks. Well, i learn my lesson. Stick with Mayura.

what’s going to happen when the main voice overs of Mayura retire??

I agree with you, I don’t like other dubbing companies either..

Just like everything else, it takes time and the willing to give it a try in order for viewers to get a hang of it. Mayura has been very slow in releasing their titles. And then when they do, it’s a dub title where like 3-4 dubbing company has already dub it. Some do still wait for the Mayura version while others have sort of let them slip through the cracks. And because there only 1 team of dubber for Mayura, they really can’t dub every single Lakorn that is out on the 3-4 popular Thai network. And sometime, the title release might not be a HIT, so then viewers have to wait and wait again.

Anyhow, I grew up with Mayura voices too, and got used to it. But now, understanding their situation, I am able to give other dubbing company a try and picking the lakorn i like to watch helps cuz it keeps me wanting to find out what’s going on. Beside, i can’t just wait for Mayura, what if they never gonna dub it? eheheh..

Yeah, I only watch Mayura too. But they’ve been..for lack of better words, slacking. There are movies that they just didn’t pick up that obviously, the other production has and I just can not get myself to purchase it. I know it would just be a waste of money.

I’m with you and Mayura’s dubbing. They are the voices we grew up with. I popped in my first Ntry dubbed some months ago and it took me to the second disk, to finally be able to watch it with out cringing. I don’t mind Ntry now but prefer Mayura still. I can’t watch dubbed movies from any other companies. They hurt me as much as dairy products.

I’m sure most of us have but it’s annoying when the subtitles don’t translate to the actual script.

I agree with all of you, I still haven’t fully brought myself to watch lakorn dubbed by other companies aside from Mayura. I hope other companies will find voices that are as good as Mayura. Wishful thinking?
