What is a typical Yugoslavian entree??

I envision Russia as a little bit depressing….but not as dreary as you described. How long were you interrogated for?

1981. Russia hadn’t fallen yet. The place was all so dreary and everything was gray. The food was bland. The people all looked like they were suffering from a chronic case of depression and alcoholism. Not to mention they took my passport and wouldn’t let me out of the country in the middle of the night! Interogating me for hours with BS questions.

I’m sorry Michelle, I don’t mean to say that Vienam isn’t nice for me, the country scenes are beautiful, but my bad souvenir in MOn Cai was that I afraid to death when the Vietnamese hotel clerk telling me that they lost my passport. I got to wait for a few days to get my passport back.
Since, I’m afraid to go back to Vietnam again, sorry to say that:)

The most beautiful place I have ever been to was no other than my beloved Angkor Wat of Cambodia. The worst place I have been to was Basilan Island, Philippine. Smell of bake fishes in the morning with coconut oil, arose with tropical humidity, and smell of feces coming from nearby toilet. And worry about my head being cut off by those bandits.

yuuuuck. hotel across the airport huh?? You should have ‘toughed it out’ in the old shack…authentic style! haha ;)

Lost 10 minute in back alley of Bangkok shanty makeshift shack. The balmy stench of stagnant open sewage boil under hot sun was thick enough to choke you instantaneously. I ask the driver to return me to the hotel across the airport.

it was late out, i was dropping off a friend that lives in the area. anyway i got caught on a red light on Orange and Anaheim going north. A mexican guy pulled up to my window with his bicycle and pulled out a hand gun..he shot a few rounds and hit my rear passengers window.

Don’t you know that when you stay at the hotel during your visit in Vietnam your passport will be removed automaticly by the hotel manager? That’s the Viet gov’t rule for all tourists who stay at the hotel during their stay in Vietnam.

Besides, food in N.Vietnam has no taste, I mean it’s not spicy, it tastes like the Monk’s food.
No wonder most of the Vietnameses are so skinny.:)
