LOL, sorry to laugh…but your story sounded more like an adventure to me. :o)
I love reading these sorts of stories, although your experiences probably weren’t too fun at the time. It sounded like you had a pretty exciting night …and saved a couple bucks on taxes too

Got lost in LA, looking for the flower district and drove around looking for it all night long. Stopped at 3am and asked for directions, saw a few ladies walking the street and asked them for directions, mind you it’s 1am, I don’t know what they were doing, but they gave me a dirty look when I asked where the flower district was.
Still couldn’t find it, went to China town and ate at 3am…finally got the right direction from the cook who ate with us, apparently this restaurant opens pretty late except we were the only two customers. Finally found it at 4am, slept near skid row with one eye close and the open and all this to save a few bucks on taxes!!May 12, 2005 at 7:17 pm #97257
L.A. County is definitely a unique place. I’ve seen some of the strangest …and amazing things in my life living here these past 2 years.
I saw a random dog jump into a passenger side window of a car while it was waiting at an intersection while I was pouring gas.
I’ve seen men push a refrigerator with wheels on the highway at night…. there was no car in sight.

Ohh, details please!!
My first time in Long Beach…well, was very interesting also. I saw a woman squat down and pee on the intersection of anaheim and atlantic. FULL FRONTAL. traumatic.

What do New Zealanders eat as a daily staple ?

I spent a lifetime one day in Rock springs Wyoming, ish pretty but dour and internationally I’d have to say Dunedin NZ. People are all depressed looking, the weather is sketchy and food was ick but on the good side there is a great museum of south pacific culture with lots of headhunter stuff.May 13, 2005 at 9:21 am #97291
Correction,, It’s Fanning not Fanny Island
Fanning Island is by Hawaii Island but not a part of the United States. Fanning Island is part of Line Islands, a REPUBLIC OF KIRIBATI.You will need passport to get into that Island. There are no electric. You can only get to that Island on boat or cruises from Hawaii

Where is Fanny Island at?

Fanny Island. the place is soo very poor. I want to give and give to every person I saw there. The Island main revenue resources are from the Cruises that stop by there.

I don’t want to name any city, but some parts of America looks like a poor third world country, especially the ghettoes of the EastCoast!

i’ve been everywhere. and the worst? france. every stereotypical thing you can imagine about the french people and it’s all true. they smell of stale cheese and wine, they treat you like trash because you can’t sound like a damn sissy correctly enough to pronounce “merci bocoop” correctly, and they all speak german.
just kidding. france was ok. the worst place? azores
don’t let that site fool you. xlr8ncivic probably knows what i’m talking about, since he’s a flyer. it’s a small island in the middle of the big pond. it’s a stopping point, and the base that’s on there is in the middle of nowhere. nothing to do.June 7, 2005 at 6:41 pm #97351

you know? I thought South Beach was really overrated.
I have good memories there and the photos looks great! … but it wasn’t because of the location..it was solely because of the friends i went with and the cute bellboy at the hotel. ::sigh::June 10, 2005 at 4:35 pm #97385
For me it’s probably driving through a shantytown in Mexico to get to Puerto Nuevo to eat some lobsters. It was just scary having thoughts of the car breaking down or possibly having corrupted officials pull over a car full of Asian girls.June 12, 2005 at 10:28 am #97404

Our guides made the wrong turn and took us into a new refugee camp before it was open (night time). We were only there for 10 minutes but seem like a life time. Got shot at and chased by dogs while we were jumping barbwire fences. What a rush. Never going back there again.

Worse place has to be the Island of Guam. Absolutely nothing to do there. One strip where everyone goes to, one nightclub… it’s just shitty. Beaches look great but you can’t jump in because the corals will cut you. Next to that… I would say Sydney, Australia. I enjoyed Perth so much better. Small city, great hospitality and so chill.
