Overview
Channy Laux, a Cambodian genocide survivor who arrived in Nebraska as a refugee in 1979, founded Angkor Chef in downtown San Jose in 2023. Inspired by her mother and Cambodian family recipes, she created the restaurant to celebrate Cambodian food, survival, resilience, and cultural pride. Founder/owner: Channy Laux.
