Organization

Association Genevoise des Cambodgiens is a nonprofit Cambodian community association in Geneva, Switzerland.[1] It says it exists to keep Cambodian culture and traditions alive and promote them, bringing the city's Cambodian community together and introducing its heritage to a wider public.[1]

Activities

The association holds a celebration of the Khmer New Year each year.[1] In 2025 it held the New Year 2569 party on the evening of April 12 in Carouge.[2] It also marks Pchum Ben, gathering the community to honor its ancestors; in 2025 the ceremony took place on September 20 at the Salle des fêtes de Vernier-Place in Vernier.[1] Through the year it runs a dance party with Cambodian music and smaller gatherings such as barbecues and film screenings.[1]

The association offers free Khmer language classes on Saturdays for beginners and intermediate learners, both children from age eight and adults, and traditional dance classes on Wednesday evenings.[1]
