Administration and history

The 2008 urban-commune list names three sangkats (urban communes) under Krong Ban Lung: Kachanh, Labansiek and Yeak Laom.[3] Tour-Cambodia gives Labansiek as the town's former name and dates its becoming the provincial capital to 1979.[4]

Market and lake

Tour-Cambodia describes the town's market as a place where people from surrounding minority communities buy goods and sell agricultural and livestock products.[4] Yeak Laom is a lake in a volcanic crater.[1]
