Bochan is a Cambodian American singer-songwriter based in Oakland, California.
Bochan, also credited as Bochan Huy, is a Cambodian American singer and songwriter based in Oakland, California (KQED; Bochan). Her album Full Monday Moon blends hip hop, soul and classic Cambodian rock and addresses the Cambodian American experience, including migration, family separation and memories of war (Bochan; KQED). She recorded a new version of the Cambodian standard "I Am 16" with hip hop artist Raashan Ahmad, and wrote the song "Believe" about refugee families after working as a counsellor for at-risk Cambodian children (KQED). She travelled to Cambodia to promote the album, her first (VOA).
