In April 2026, city leaders visited the Wat for Khmer New Year (Chol Chnam Thmey, ចូលឆ្នាំថ្មី) and gave gifts to its abbot. The delegation, led by Nguyễn Hữu Nghĩa of the Cần Thơ City Party Standing Committee, also visited Chùa Đay Niêl and Chùa Ông Kho.
