Wat
Chùa Bâng Kro Chắp Thmây
Chùa Bâng Kro Chắp Thmây is a Khmer Theravada Buddhist Wat in Tân Thạnh commune, Cần Thơ, Vietnam.[1]
Religious life
As of October 2025, Thượng tọa (Venerable) Thạch Thươl was the abbot. By then the Wat had kept a law library, supplied by the justice authorities, for ten years. Its monks, student monks, lay followers and neighbors used it, and it was opened to the many followers who came on full-moon days and festivals.[1] In 2025 the Wat was one of several in Cần Thơ that spent more than 500 million đồng on a new dugout ngo racing boat in place of a plank-built one.[2] On September 22, 2025, its mini ngo crew took second place in a Sen Dolta race on the Phụng Hiệp canal hosted by Chùa Ta Kuch Chăs.[3]
