Wat

Chùa Khlang Mương is a Khmer Theravada Buddhist Wat in Châu Thành commune, An Giang province, Vietnam.[1]

Religious life

As of 2026, the abbot was Thượng tọa (Venerable) Danh Chại. On April 7, 2026, a delegation of the provincial Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs visited the Wat with Khmer New Year (Chol Chnam Thmey) greetings and gifts.[1] In 2025 its miniature ngo boat team took second prize in the Thôn Dôn cup race in Rạch Giá,[2] and the Wat won a B prize in the provincial Khmer festival's contest for giàn thủy lục (decorated offering frames).[3] Local people recall that around 1959 the former Kiên Giang province had only four noted ngo racing boats, one of them the Wat's.[4]
