Wat

Chùa Mỹ Á (Chùa Pro Lai Meas) is a Khmer Theravada Buddhist Wat in Chi Lăng ward, in the Bảy Núi area of An Giang province, Vietnam.[1]

History

Before the 2025 reorganization of wards and communes, the Wat stood in Núi Voi ward of Tịnh Biên town.[2]

Religious life

As of 2025 and 2026, the abbot was Hòa thượng (Most Venerable) Chau Cắt, a member of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and vice head of its An Giang provincial board.[3][1] On April 6, 2026, the chair of the An Giang provincial people's committee visited the Wat with gifts for Khmer New Year (Chol Chnam Thmey) and thanked the abbot for his work with the Khmer community.[1]
