Wat

Chùa Nha Si Cũ is a Khmer Theravada Buddhist Wat in Long Thạnh commune, An Giang province, Vietnam, in the former Giồng Riềng district of Kiên Giang.[1][2]

History

Until the 2025 reorganization the Wat stood in Vĩnh Phú commune, Giồng Riềng district.[2]

Religious life

As of 2025, the abbot was Thượng tọa (Venerable) Danh Quol, vice head of the Giồng Riềng district board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. On January 24, 2025, ahead of the lunar New Year, he held a "zero-đồng market" at which 1,200 gifts from donors were given to families of four communes in Giồng Riềng and Gò Quao.[2] In November 2025 the Wat took part in the provincial Khmer festival's contest for giàn thủy lục (decorated offering frames).[1]
