On the morning of September 19, 2026, the provincial board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the provincial Patriotic Monks' Solidarity Association appointed Đại đức (Venerable) Youttiviriyo (Thạch Nhựt Trường) abbot of the Wat. Hòa thượng (Most Venerable) Thạch Sok Xane, head of the provincial Sangha board, presided.
