Religious life

As of April 2026, the head monk was Thượng tọa (Venerable) Thạch Sâm Nang, whom the deputy chair of the provincial people's committee visited for Khmer New Year (Chol Chnam Thmey) on April 5, 2026.[2] The grounds cover more than 33,000 m² (8 acres). River erosion has threatened the Wat: 129 m (423 ft) of embankment were built in 2017 and 2021, and in 2026 the commune asked the province to fund a further 137 m (449 ft). As of 2026, the Wat held many traditional festivals and education, culture and welfare programs.[1]
