Wat

Chùa Rạch Tìa is a Khmer Theravada Buddhist Wat in Gò Quao commune, An Giang province, Vietnam.[1]

History

Until the 2025 reorganization the Wat stood in An Trường hamlet, Định An commune, Gò Quao district, Kiên Giang province. On November 29, 2024, the district board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha installed Đại đức (Venerable) Danh Tính as abbot, with senior monks of the province in attendance.[2]

Religious life

In 2025 the commune gave a ngũ âm (five-tone) ensemble and traditional costumes to the music and dance clubs based at the Wat.[3] In November 2025 the Wat won an A prize in the provincial Khmer festival's contest for giàn thủy lục (decorated offering frames).[4] As of 2026, Danh Tính was still abbot; on April 13, 2026, the commune police visited him with gifts for Khmer New Year (Chol Chnam Thmey).[1]
