Wat

Chùa Serey Kro Săng is a Khmer Theravada Buddhist Wat in Vĩnh Châu ward, Cần Thơ, Vietnam.[1]

History

As of 2019, the Wat had had eight generations of monks. Its main hall stands on high ground, with a Buddha statue and murals of the Buddha's life, and a sala (an open hall for gatherings) stands across the gate.[2]

Religious life

A sea-offering ceremony (Chrôi rum check) was held each year on the 14th and 15th days of a lunar month, as of 2019.[2] In April 2026, a member of the Wat's committee spoke about the Chroi Romchek festival of the Vĩnh Châu coast, which was recognized in 2025 as national intangible cultural heritage.[1] A July 2026 report on Khmer classes in Cần Thơ also named the Wat.[3]
