Chùa Tà Rom
Chùa Tà Rom is a Khmer Theravada Buddhist Wat in Tà Rom hamlet, Đôn Châu commune, Vĩnh Long province, Vietnam.[1]
Religious life
As of 2026, the abbot was Đại đức (Venerable) Thạch Nhỏ. Provincial leaders visited him at the Wat for Khmer New Year (Chol Chnam Thmey, ចូលឆ្នាំថ្មី) on April 9, 2026.[2] The series in Báo Vĩnh Long describes the Wat as having a long history and serving as a place of spiritual life and the shared cultural house of the community. The Wat has given land several times for a canal, the hamlet's cultural house and roads. One road, 800 m (half a mile) long and 4 m (13 ft) wide, runs from the hamlet office to the Sà Rầy canal and was built entirely on land the Wat gave; the commune's Party committee secretary describes it as cutting the trip from the commune center to the hamlet from 5 km (3 mi) to 800 m.[1]
