Chùa Thôn Dôn
Chùa Thôn Dôn is a Khmer Theravada Buddhist Wat in Rạch Giá ward, An Giang province, Vietnam.[1]
Religious life
As of 2026, the abbot was Đại đức (Venerable) Danh Út, chief secretary of the provincial Patriotic Monks' Solidarity Association.[1] Each year, in the Kathina season, the Wat holds a miniature ngo boat race.[2] The third race for the Thôn Dôn cup, on October 26, 2025, drew 42 teams, three of them from Cần Thơ.[3] On May 3, 2026, the Wat handed out 200 gifts of rice, noodles and other essentials, worth more than 80 million đồng, to poor families of the ward, with support the abbot gathered from a Ho Chi Minh City charity group and other donors.[1]
