Chantha Nguon is a Cambodian writer and cook and the author, with Kim Green, of Slow Noodles: A Cambodian Memoir of Love, Loss, and Family Recipes, which interleaves an account of exile and return with more than twenty family recipes reconstructed from memory. She co-founded the Stung Treng Women's Development Center and the silk enterprise Mekong Blue in northeastern Cambodia, which train and employ rural women.
