Ingredients
- 65 g sago
- 110 g caster sugar
- 2 sugar bananas
- 250 ml coconut milk
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
- 1 pinch salt
- 500 ml water
Preparation
- Soak the sago in cold water about one hour, then drain it well.
- Simmer the sago with the water, sugar and salt over low to medium heat.
- Stir about 15 minutes, until the pearls turn translucent.
- Peel the bananas and slice them diagonally about 5 mm thick.
- Fold the banana slices gently through the sago.
- Cook about three minutes, until the bananas soften.
- Stir in the coconut milk and take the pan off the heat.
- Cool slightly and serve warm or at room temperature with toasted sesame seeds.
