Description
SivHeng Ung discusses deciding to leave Battambang for a refugee camp after hearing an American radio broadcast about people escaping to Thailand. She describes the difficult journey, including being shot at by Vietnamese soldiers and the Khmer Rouge and being robbed of everything by Thai bandits before reaching the border, and she discusses travelling with her younger brother and the man who later became her husband.
