Dharanindravarman I was a king of the Khmer Empire in the early 12th century. Maurice Glaize's list of kings, published in 1944, dates his reign from 1107 to 1112 and names him as the brother of Jayavarman VI, whom he followed on the throne. His posthumous name was Paramanishkalapada.[1]
End of his reign
Suryavarman II followed him as king. An inscription of Jayavarman VII, K.288, one of the Chrung inscriptions, sets out the order of the kings before Jayavarman VII. As summarized by George Coedès, it says that Suryavarman II despoiled Dharanindravarman I.[2] The historian Michael Vickery wrote that this event is not disputed.[2]
Glaize's list dates Suryavarman II's reign from 1113 and names him as the younger nephew of Dharanindravarman I.[1]
