History
The market began in July 2021 at Wat Buddhasasanarangsey.[3] The Khmer Cultural Preservation Society and the Wat’s society had discussed the project since 2019; the COVID pandemic delayed it.[3] In 2021, vendors offered Khmer, Lao and Vietnamese-influenced food and goods, and the market ran on Fridays.[3] The 2026 season opened on August 29 with food, performances and activities for families.[2]
2026 schedule
The season’s dates are August 29, September 12, September 26, October 10, October 24, November 7, November 14 and November 15, 2026.[1] The final market is on Sunday, November 15; the other dates are Saturdays.[1] The market on October 24 runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.[1][2]
