American novelist whose young adult novel Children of the River follows a Cambodian refugee teenager in Oregon.
Linda Crew is an American writer of children's and young adult fiction based in Corvallis, Oregon, where she lives on a small farm. Her first novel, Children of the River, was published in 1989 and has received several awards. Her later books include Someday I'll Laugh About This, Nekomah Creek, Ordinary Miracles and A Heart for Any Fate: Westward to Oregon 1845, which won a 2005 Oregon Book Award.
