Description
Moni Mekhala Board Picture Book is a seven-inch square board book with full-page colour illustrations and text in Khmer and English with transliteration, designed so that illustrations lead the story for guided reading with young children. It retells the story of the hermit Lok Da Moni Eysei and his students Moni Mekhala, goddess of the ocean, and Ream Eyso, demon of fire, whose contest over a jar of morning dew leaves her with a magic crystal ball and him with a crystal axe; their endless pursuit across the sky explains lightning and thunder in the rain.
