The Paris memorial to the victims of the Khmer Rouge is a memorial in Parc de Choisy, 13th arrondissement, Paris, France. (FIDH)
History
The memorial was erected in Paris at the initiative of Cambodian associations representing victims of the Khmer Rouge, with the support of the FIDH and the Haut Conseil des Asiatiques de France. It commemorates the victims of the Khmer Rouge regime, during which between 1.7 and 2 million people died between 1975 and January 1979. Its inauguration was scheduled for 17 April 2018 and was to be followed by a symposium at the town hall of the 13th arrondissement. (FIDH; La Croix)
Significance
The monument pays tribute to all victims of the Khmer Rouge regime and provides a place of remembrance where French people of Cambodian origin, including refugees welcomed by France and their descendants, can pay their respects to the dead. (FIDH; La Croix)
Stewardship
The Haut Conseil des Asiatiques de France is responsible for constructing the commemorative stele, and the City of Paris is responsible for its maintenance under a partnership agreement for the occupation of public property. (FIDH; La Croix)

The inauguration was scheduled for Tuesday, 17 April 2018 at 09:15 at Parc de Choisy in the 13th arrondissement.
