Event
Pchum Ben Ceremony, Amaravati Buddhist Monastery (October 2026)
The Pchum Ben Ceremony, Amaravati Buddhist Monastery is a Pchum Ben observance near Hemel Hempstead, England, on October 10, 2026.[1] It is hosted by the Cambodian Society in the United Kingdom (CASUNIK) and is part of Pchum Ben 2026.[1]
Program
October 10, 2026. 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m.[1]
- Arrival 9:30 a.m., Buddhist ceremony 10:45 a.m., offering of dana to the monks 11:30 a.m. and lunch at noon. CASUNIK's annual general meeting follows at 2 p.m., and the day closes at 3 p.m. This year the whole event, including the ceremony, takes place in the Sala, not in the temple.[1]
- Guests are asked to bring a dish to share (some of them vegetarian) or to send a contribution to CASUNIK for catering about two weeks ahead. The dress code is smart casual or traditional outfit.[1]
Visiting
Times are local to the venue. Dates and times can change at short notice, and a venue’s opening hours are not necessarily its ceremony hours. Cars park in the field; parking along the lane is not allowed.[1]
