Overview

Bun Heu Tan and Maly B. Tan moved to Long Beach to escape the Khmer Rouge regime. After a small Vietnamese restaurant they loved closed, they bought its 500-square-foot space and opened Phnom Penh Noodle Shack in 1985. The family-owned restaurant has served as a place for Cambodian community connection, comfort, and cultural appreciation for 40 years. Founder/owner: Bun Heu Tan and Maly B. Tan.
