Wat
Vatt Chanraingsey
Vatt Chanraingsey is a Khmer Krom Buddhist Wat on rue Jules Guesde in Tremblay-en-France, northeast of Paris.[1][2]
History
Two Khmer Krom Buddhist associations are registered at the Wat's address. The Association pour le Soutien au Bouddhisme Khmer du Kampuchea Krom (ASBKKK) has its registered office in the house for the monks there.[3] The Association Bouddhique Khmère du Kampuchea-Krom (ABKKK), a religious association, is registered at the same address.[2]
Religious life
As of April 2025, the head monk of the Wat was Ten Chenda.[4] On June 22, 2025, nearly 100 people took part in a Buddhist ceremony of remembrance at the Wat, with prayers, offerings, chanting and traditional dances. The association Accueil Cambodgien organized it with the ASBKKK and the dance association Aekubacf.[5]
Community
On August 17, 2025, the Wat hosted a collection of donations for people affected by the humanitarian crisis at the border between Cambodia and Thailand. The Collectif pour la paix et la solidarité en Asie du Sud-Est organized it with the two Khmer Krom Buddhist associations, both members of the collective.[1]
