Khmer American playwright and young adult novelist based in New York.

Vichet Chum is a New York based playwright and young adult novelist. His play Bald Sisters, about two Cambodian siblings, received the 2021 Edgerton Foundation New Play Award and was staged at Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago, and he has been an associate artist at Merrimack Repertory Theatre and a board member of the New Harmony Project. His first young adult novel is Kween, which he is also adapting for the stage, and he writes plays for Audible and Steppenwolf. (Vichet Chum official site; American Theatre; The New York Times)
