Religious life

In December 2025 the abbots and committees of several Wats in Siem Reap, among them Wat Chanlong, opened their grounds to families displaced from the border area and gave them daily meals. On December 10, 2025, 70 families, or 300 people, were staying at the Wat, and Samdech Preah Brahma Rattanamony Pin Sem, president of the Thera Sabha, the council of senior monks of Cambodian Buddhism, brought them food and supplies.[1]
