Wat Chroy Thmar
វត្តជ្រោយថ្ម
Wat Chroy Thmar (វត្តជ្រោយថ្ម), formally វត្តសុទស្សនារាម, is a Buddhist Wat in Boeng Kok commune, Kampong Cham city, Cambodia.[1]
History
In May 2025 the Wat laid the foundation stone of a new two-story vihara (ordination hall), with a krong peali offering to the guardian spirit of the land, in the presence of the provincial council chairman and the governor.[1]
Religious life
The provincial administration of Kampong Cham held its Visak Bochea ceremony at the Wat on May 11, 2025.[2] On September 13, 2025, the sixth day of kan ben (កាន់បិណ្ឌ), the days of offerings that lead up to Pchum Ben, the governor led officials in offerings to the monks here and at Wat Boeng Kok.[3] At the start of Vassa, the rains retreat, in July 2025 and again in July 2026, the provincial leaders brought Vassa candles and offerings to the monks keeping the retreat at the four Wats of Kampong Cham city, Wat Chroy Thmar among them.[4][5]
