Wat Chumpou Pruksa
វត្តជម្ពូព្រឹក្សា
Wat Chumpou Pruksa (វត្តជម្ពូព្រឹក្សា, Wat Chumpou Pruksa) is a Buddhist Wat in Thmei village, Svay Rieng town, and the seat of the province's chief monk.[1][2]
Religious life
On January 5, 2025, the Wat was one of two examination centers for the province's Dhamma-Vinaya (Buddhist teaching and monastic discipline) certificate exams, for which 389 monks and lay candidates had registered.[1] On May 10, 2026, the province opened its 2026 to 2027 Buddhist school year at the Wat, with about 441 monks, teachers, students and guests; Samdech Sao Chanthol, senior adviser of the Mahanikaya order, presided.[3]
