Wat Dei Dos
វត្តដីដុះ
Wat Dei Dos (វត្តដីដុះ), formally វត្តបុទុមរតនៈដីដុះ, is a Buddhist Wat in Kampong Cham city, Cambodia, on the bank of the Mekong opposite Koh Paen island.[1][2]
Religious life
On March 6, 2025, the governors of Kampong Cham and Preah Vihear brought more than 82 million riel and US$1,423 from officials and donors to the abbot to build a new upatthan sala (a hall for receiving guests and holding ceremonies).[3] On September 10, 2025, the governor led officials in offerings to the monks during the days of kan ben (កាន់បិណ្ឌ) before Pchum Ben.[4] On October 19, 2025, the governor and many lay followers brought a Kathina robe offering to the Wat in procession.[1] At the start of Vassa, the rains retreat, in July 2025 and again in July 2026, the provincial leaders brought Vassa candles and offerings to the monks keeping the retreat at the four Wats of Kampong Cham city, this Wat among them.[5][6]
