Religious life
During Pchum Ben, the 15-day festival for ancestors, lay people hold Kan Ben (កាន់បិណ្ឌ, Kan Ben), daily turns of offerings to the monks. Pa Socheatvong and his family took the fifth turn at the Wat on September 12, 2025.[2] They returned for the fifth turn in 2026, joining the chanting, the blessing recitation and the alms round, and offering food to the monks.[1]
