Wat Kbal Kaoh
វត្តក្បាលកោះ
Wat Kbal Kaoh (វត្តក្បាលកោះ) is a Buddhist Wat in Boeng Leach village, Setthei commune, Samaki Meanchey district, Kampong Chhnang province, Cambodia.[1]
History
It is also called វត្តបឹង (Wat Boeng).[2] Since 2023, the Wat committee and lay followers have been building a Buddhist primary school in its grounds, 40 by 9 m (131 by 30 ft) with five rooms.[3]
Religious life
On September 17, 2025, the tenth day of the Kan Ben season, the minister of rural development Chhay Rithisen and the government working group for the district joined the offerings at the Wat.[2] On November 1 and 2, 2025, they held a joint Kathin there, with chanting, a sermon and the offering of robes to the monks.[1] On April 16, 2026, the third day of the Khmer New Year, they brought offerings to the Wat and to Wat Setthei and Wat Tuek Chum.[4]
