Wat Kesararam
វត្តកេសរារាម
Wat Kesararam (វត្តកេសរារាម), also called Wat Thommayut, is a Buddhist Wat in Ta Phul village, Svay Dangkum commune, Siem Reap, Cambodia.[1]
Religious life
As of 2026, the abbot was Preah Vipula Sattha Ri Sat.[1] On September 8, 2025, the first day of kan ben (កាន់បិណ្ឌ), the offerings to monks that lead up to Pchum Ben, the head of the provincial council and the governor of Siem Reap led officials in offerings at Wat Kesararam and at Wat Preah Prom Rath. The governor and lay followers gave 5.1 million riel to Wat Kesararam, and each of its lay precept-keepers received a length of white cloth.[2]
By 2026 more monks were living and studying at the Wat, their quarters had become too small and the kitchen was old. The abbot and the Wat committee therefore decided to build a two-story building, 13 m by 21 m (43 by 69 ft), with a kitchen on the ground floor and rooms for monks to live and study above. By August 31, 2026, it was about 60 percent built, and the community held a bon phka prak (បុណ្យផ្កាប្រាក់, a festival of money trees, offered to raise funds) to complete it.[1]
In June 2026 the abbot was among the Siem Reap monks who took food and supplies to soldiers on the border with Thailand.[3]
