Religious life

On the morning of July 4, 2025, a ceremony to present Vassa candles and offerings to the monks keeping the Vassa retreat at 27 Wats of Tuek Phos district was held in the grounds of the Wat.[1] Chhay Rithisen, minister of Rural Development and first deputy head of the government working group for Kampong Chhnang province, and his wife brought the candles and offerings.[1] The Preah Anukana (ព្រះអនុគណ) and the abbots of the 27 Wats, ministry and provincial leaders, district administration and many Buddhists took part.[1]

The ceremony was one of two held that day for 60 Wats of Samakki Meanchey and Tuek Phos districts; the other took place at Wat Krang Lvea.[2]
