Wat Leu (Stung Treng)

វត្តស្រះកែវមុនីវណ្ណ

Wat Leu (វត្តស្រះកែវមុនីវណ្ណ, Wat Srah Keo Munivann) is a Buddhist Wat in Stung Treng town.[1]

Religious life

As of 2026, the Wat hosts provincial ceremonies. In early August 2026, a ceremony at the Wat offered Vassa candles and gifts to 17 Wats of the province.[2]

During Pchum Ben, the 15-day festival for ancestors, lay people hold Kan Ben (កាន់បិណ្ឌ, Kan Ben), daily turns of offerings to the monks. On September 27, 2026, provincial leaders, officials and many lay people gathered at the Wat for the first day of Kan Ben, with an alms offering, a meal for the monks and a bangskol rite for ancestors.[1]
