Religious life

On the morning of July 19, 2026, a new kot (កុដិ, monks' residence) and other new buildings at the Wat were dedicated, in a celebration that lasted one night and two days. The district deputy chief monk, the abbot and the monks took part with the provincial director of cults and religion, commune officials, the Wat committee, the achars (lay ritual leaders) and many lay followers. Hun Sokha, an adviser to Samdech Hun Sen, led a visiting delegation and gave money toward further building.[1]
