Religious life

On September 5, 2026, the Wat held a Buddhabhiseka (ពុទ្ធាភិសេក) ceremony and inaugurated a new kuti (កុដិ, a monk's residence), together with one kuti for the abbot. Kung Chanvasana (គង់ ច័ន្ទវាសនា), Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, presided. The abbot, Preah Kru Chan Sochun (ព្រះគ្រូចាន់សុជុន), spoke at the ceremony. The new kuti cost 180,000 US dollars and took one year to build.[1]

On April 1, 2026, the Wat held a ceremony in honor of Samdech Preah Sangharaj Chuon Nath (សម្តេចព្រះសង្ឃរាជ ជួន ណាត) and the Khmer Tripitaka council (ក្រុមជំនុំព្រះត្រៃបិដកខ្មែរ). The deputy governor of the province, the district council president, the district governor, civil servants and many Buddhists took part. The ceremony included chanting (សូត្រមន្ត), alms-giving (រាប់បាត្រ) and a sermon (ធម៌ទេសនា).[2]
