Wat Prey Angkunh

Wat Prey Angkunh (វត្តព្រៃអង្គុញ) is a Buddhist Wat in Prey Angkunh ward, Bavet city, Svay Rieng.[1]
Religious life
On June 9, 2025, the governor of Bavet city laid the foundation stone of a two-story Buddhist primary school building at the Wat, measuring 11.5 m by 31.5 m. The abbot, Preah Visal Thommakun Tep Veasna (ព្រះវិសាលធម្មគុណ ទេព វាសនា), and Buddhist lay people took part. The school is to train monks in Pali and Dhamma-Vinaya (ធម្មវិន័យ) and to teach children who cannot study at outside schools.[1]
On August 19, 2026, an offering of gifts and Vassa (ព្រះវស្សា) candles for the monks resident for Vassa at 19 Wats of Bavet city was held at the Wat.[2]
