Wat Prey Chan (វត្តព្រៃចាន់) is a Buddhist Wat in Prey Chan village, Ou Beichoan commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, Cambodia.[1]

History

Its formal name is វត្តសុវណ្ណសិក្ខារាម (Wat Sovann Sikkharam). The Wat stands on the border with Thailand, about 1 km (0.6 mi) from the barbed wire the Thai military laid in 2025.[2][3]

Religious life

On May 3, 2025, solar lamps were installed along the paths of the Wat's grounds, with the monks and the Wat committee present.[1] On September 21, 2025, the fourteenth day of the Kan Ben season, a group of journalists brought drinks and money to the monks of the Wat.[2] On October 9, 2025, about 400 monks of both orders, from Wats across the province, received alms at the Wat in a ceremony dedicated to the departed.[4][3]
